The Benefits Of RV Storage

When it comes to storing your RV, you have a few different options. You can store it at your house, a storage facility, or a campground. A storage unit is one of the most popular RV options. There are several benefits to using a storage unit for your RV. Here are just a few:

1. Increased Security

Indoor and enclosed storage units can be a great solution for people looking for a safe and secure place to store their RV, camper, or fifth wheel. Our storage facilities are equipped with cameras. In addition, our facilities are fenced and gated. You will be given a secure access code to enter the storage facility, and our team monitors these codes on a regular basis.

2. Protection from the Elements

Another benefit of using a storage unit for your RV is the protection from the weather. If you store your RV at your house, it is exposed to the elements, which can cause damage. However, storing it in an inside storage unit is protected from the sun, wind, and rain. You can even get a unit that has power and is climate controlled.

3. Convenience

Another benefit of using a storage unit for your RV is convenience. We offer 24/7 access to our RV storage facilities. This makes it much easier to access your RV when you want to use it. You will love our different RV parking options. You can select an indoor unit or park it in a covered parking spot. We also have standard parking. All our RV storage lots have wide drive lanes, so you can quickly back your RV in and out of your unit or parking spot. We also have pull-through parking spaces to eliminate the worry of backing your RV into your space.

4. Peace Of Mind

We offer private RV bays. A lot of RV storage facilities have shared RV bays. This can be a cheap RV storage solution however it does present some issues. One issue when you put it into a shared space is that anyone can access your RV anytime. Another downside to a shared RV space is that you run the increased risk of animals and rodents entering your RV. Shared RV spaces also typically do not allow access to your RV while it's being stored in the facility. Another issue that can happen in a shared space is you run the risk of another person damaging your RV while parking. Our private RV bays are perfect for luxury RVs to protect your investment.

5. Affordable

Another benefit of using a storage unit for your RV is that it is affordable and leaves the driveway space for your day-to-day vehicles! Most HOAs don’t allow RVs to be parked at the house, but our affordable RV storage makes it cheap and hassle-free. You can set up your RV storage booking within a few minutes and be parked the same day!

Frequently Asked Questions About RV Storage

How big of a storage unit do you need for RV storage?
Depending on the type of RV you have you'll need a different size storage unit. Let's go over the different types of RVs and what you would need to get.

A Class RV
These typically would go in a 15x50. Most A Class RVs are at least 40 feet in length and they would need a 50ft Unit. We would suggest the 15x50 climate controlled unit. This unit is private and fully enclosed. You won't have to worry about winterization because the unit is heated in the winter. We would also suggest a unit with power. The climate controlled units that are 15x50 have 30 AMP electricity. This way you can keep your battery plugged in and don't have to worry about it dying.

B Class RV / C Class RV
These RVs are smaller and would typically fit in a 15x35. However, if you don’t want to have to worry about your battery dying, we would suggest getting the 15x50 with electricity. You’ll have enough space to store your RV as well as some other belongings.

Pull Behind / Travel Trailer
The pull behind and travel trailers would need a 12x30. In this case we would suggest upgrading to a 15x35 so that you can get a taller door and have plenty of space inside.

Are all of your indoor RV storage units temperature controlled?
No, we do offer temperature controlled or climate controlled RV Bays. But we do have standard private bays that do not have climate control.

  • Class C Motorhomes: These are mid-sized and built on a truck or van chassis with an extra cab over the driver's area. They often have more sleeping space due to the cab-over design.
  • Fifth Wheel Trailers: These RVs are designed to be towed by a truck with a special "fifth wheel" hitch. They offer a lot of living space and are popular for full-time RV living.
  • Travel Trailers: These are designed to be towed by a truck, SUV, or even a car in some cases. They come in a wide range of sizes, from small teardrop trailers to large multi-slide models.
  • Toy Haulers: These are a type of towable RV that combine living space with a space to haul ATVs, motorcycles, or other "toys."
  • Pop-Up Campers: These are lightweight, compact, and expandable. They offer the experience of tent camping, but with a few more comforts.
  • Truck Campers: These compact RVs are designed to be carried in the bed of a pickup truck. They're a great option for off-road and wilderness camping.
